A QURAN AND BIBLE COMPARISON: WHY THEY'RE NOT THE SAME

Updated: Aug 20, 2023

Today I will be looking at some comparisons between the Quran and the Bible. There are those that believe that these two books are the same or that they somehow have the same beliefs…

But is this really true according to the books, the bible in particular….

I’ll be looking at the most comparisons between these two books and how they are connected to each other, using popular questions and narratives. This will allow you to understand what the scriptures say about other religions, but more specifically in this case Islam.

This article will allow you to answer questions that you may have had in your head, which have been put there by the establishment and powers that be (i.e. Satan)…

Questions such as:

  1. Is there only one god?

  2. Is Jesus (Yahusha) The son of God?

And…

  1. Whether Muhammad is the last prophet of god according to the Bible?

To start this off it’s only fair that we start from the beginning, so that we create context and a foundation.

How Old Is The Bible?

The earliest the bible dates back to as a complete work is around 300BC. This is some time before Alexander the Great’s generals began to rule in Jerusalem…

Bible, King James Version: Authorized KJV 1611 [Best Bible for ...

We see evidence of this with the Septuagint, which dates back to the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus of Egypt (285-246 BC).

How Old Is The Quran?

When we look at the history of the Quran we see that it came into existence 200 years before Judaism, believe it or not?

The 7th century is when Muhammad received his revelation of the Quran from an angel…

The Holy Quran (聖クルアーン) Japanese Languange Edition - Kindle ...

Muhammad himself was born in Mecca which is in Saudi Arabia in 570AD.

Now you have an understanding about when both the scriptures and the Quran were completed let’s look at some of the comparisons to determine who we should be worshipping.

What Do The Scriptures Say About Isaac And Ishmael?

When you read the scriptures and the Quran you see a comparison between Isaac and Ishmael.

In the Quran we are told that the blessings and spiritual covenant was given to Ishmael:

…but in the scriptures we are told that Isaac received the blessings.

This spiritual covenant was then passed on through the lineage of Isaac to his and grandsons, Jacob and his 12 Sons who are the Twelve tribes of Israel today:

Genesis 17:19-21

19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

The most High expressly tells Abraham that his promise was to be given to Isaac and not Ishmael. this immediately let us know that Islam is in conflict with the scriptures.

The blessing given to Ishmael and his descendants who are the Arabs is wealth and prosperity not the spiritual blessings and covenant which were given to Isaac by the Most High.

Jubilees 20:12-13

12. And Ishmael and his sons, and the sons of Keturah and their sons, went together and dwelt from Paran to the entering in of Babylon in all the land which is towards the East facing the desert.
13. And these mingled with each other, and their name was called Arabs, and Ishmaelite’s.

Although Abraham did circumcise Ishmael his descendants were not given the laws and spiritual blessings and commandments of the Most High, they were reserved for Isaac.

Is Christ The Son Of God Or A Just A Prophet?

We are told when we read scriptures that the Messiah is the son of the Most High this is in total contrast to the Quran…

We know that the Messiah is more than a Prophet because he is allowed to be worshipped even though he is not the most High.

Matthew 28:16-18

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

The Most High has given him his blessing. It is our belief in the Messiah and his Resurrection that covers our sins.

Matthew 26:28

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

We should remember that the blessings and covenant with the Most High was given only to Israel originally, and at that time forgiveness of sins was performed by animals sacrificing…

The importance of the Messiah was to fulfill the covenant with Israel and become an eternal sacrifice which he did, this is why animal sacrifice is no longer required for forgiveness of sins.

Islam teaches that the Messiah was just an ordinary prophet like Elijah and Moses

Islam also believes that Muhammad is the last prophet and the Holy Spirit spoken of within the scripture is alluding to him. Of course this is untrue and the Holy Spirit is a spirit and not a man.

John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Without a belief in the Messiah there is no atonement for sins, for this reason it’s important to understand the Messiah’s significance.

Are Israelites And Arabs Both Shemitic?

Scriptures tell us that both Arabs and Israelites are from Noah’s son Shem.

This means that they are both Shemitic. Show me is a distant relative of Abraham and Abraham is the father of Ishmael who is one of the fathers of the Arabs.

Abraham is also the father of Isaac who is the father of Jacob who is the father of the Israelite’s. It is the Israelite’s who the most High gave his spiritual covenant too.

When we read the book of Jubilees we are told that Abraham married a second wife and it is the mixture between this wife’s offspring and the sons of Ishmael who became the Arabs.

We are also told that Arab means mixed people and we see evidence of Ishmaelites mixing with hamitic people also who are Africans today.

Does The Bible Mention The Quran Or Vice Versa?

When we read the scriptures there’s no mention of the Quran specifically, any indirect mention of any other religion is only as a false religion. The Bible specifically says to have no other Gods before the most High….

Exodus 20:2-4

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

The Bible also says that the gods of the nations are idols, this totally blows apart the notion that all God’s are the same:

Psalm 96:4-6

4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

This one God concept which says that all religions worship the same god is not supported by the Bible.

The Bible tells us that proof of the God we are serving is shown by keeping the Commandments written in the Bible.

The Messiah specifically says that there is only one way into heaven, which is through the belief in the Messiah himself, which is the only way sins are forgiven by the Most High God.

John 12:45-47

45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

In contrast when we look at the Quran it makes mention of the children of Israel. It even says that they have been disobedient to the most High which is true.

The fact that the Quran mentions the Bible does not mean that it was given the permission to do so, this only shows that prophecy is fulfilled…

Surah 40:54

And, indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture [i.e. the Taurat (Torah)]

The scriptures tell us that the inheritance of Israel would be divided by the nations and we can see this with the rise of Christianity Islam and Judaism.

All three of these religions take the Bible and put their spin on it creating their own celebrations, laws and beliefs which are contrary to the Bible.

Do We Inherit The Sins Of Our Fathers?

When we read the scriptures we are clearly told that we will inherit the sins of our forefathers.

One of the commandments says that we will be punished upto the third and fourth generations of our families.

Of course all of this can be eradicated when a person turns from their sins no matter what their mother, father and Generations done before them.

Ezekiel 18:24-30

24 “But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.
25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair?
26 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies.
27 Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive.
28 Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
29 Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?
30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.

This same sentiment can also be seen in the second commandment within the Ten Commandments. The Most High says that he will have mercy on anyone that turns from their sins:

Exodus 20:4-6

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting[c] the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

This is not what is said in the religion of Islam. In Islam it is taught that a man does not come into the world with sin from there immediate mother and father or fore parents.

This again highlights a major difference between the two beliefs in Islam and the Bible.

Proof of inherited sin on a large scale can be seen with the children of Israel (Hispanics, Latinos & Negroes).

In Deuteronomy chapter 28 we are told that they would go into slavery on slave ships if they disobeyed the laws of the most High.

These curses were eventually enacted because the parents of Israel sinned (Daniel 9:11-12), also causing their decendants to sin and experience the punishment of these sins…

Daniel 9:11-12

11 Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him.
12 And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great disaster; for under the whole heaven such has never been done as what has been done to Jerusalem.

The transatlantic slave trade fulfilled this prophecy in modern times, but even before that the temple Jerusalem was destroyed twice and the Most High allowed the Assyrian, Babylonian, Medes, Persians and Greeks to misplace Israelites….

The destruction of the second and last temple in Israel was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD which was the culmination of Israel’s sins mentioned in Deuteronomy 28.

One God Allah Or Yahua?

In Islam it is said that there is only one God and that his name is Allah. In the Bible we are told that there is only one God and his name is Yahua. It is Yahua who has created all other gods including Allah.

The Bible specifically says that Yahua created the other gods for the other nations which would include Allah, Buddha, Vishnu, Moloch etc.

The Bible specifically says all the other gods of the nations are idols and we see this with the kaaba stone in Mecca which correlates with Allah.

Psalm 96:4-6

4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

It’s impossible to argue that the Kaaba stone is not an idol, although many Muslims will argue this. The fact is in Islam it is said that you are not a true Muslim until you have been to Mecca to bow before the Kaaba stone.

The scriptures specifically forbids bowing to any idols:

Exodus 4-6

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Conclusion

As you can see when we compare the Bible and the Quran we can see that there are gaping differences between the two.

There are those that wrongly suggested that the Bible and the Quran are the same.

In Islam believe they believe that the last prophet was Muhammad in the bible we know that there is no end to the prophets…

The Messiah is not considered the last prophet of God but son of God. He died for the sins of Israel and the world.

The Quran acknowledges the law and the prophets but the Bible does not acknowledge the Quran. This again should show proof that the Bible does not consider the Quran has its equal.

The more specific issue here is that Arabs were not given the Commandments of the most high this was given to the children of Israel…

The creation of the Islamic faith is in direct rebellion to the blessings the Arabs received. We see this even in the Quran where it is claimed that Ishmael was offered as a sacrifice rather than Isaac, the fourth father of Jacob who is the father of the Israelites…

This alone shows that the Islamic faith shows complete contempt for the true heirs of the laws of God, so much so the Arabs have created their own doctrine called Islam.
