BIBLE SCRIPTURES ABOUT THE WORLD: REVELATION 12 EXPLAINED

Updated: Jun 30, 2023

Here we will be looking at bible scriptures of the world. Many people want to believe that world keeps advancing. But as believers we should believe what the scriptures tell us, especially revelation prophecy.

We will be looking at a summary of what the whole battle of Good and evil is really about using the book of Revelation.

In most Christian organisations the book of Revelation always seems to be off limits.

Hopefully this article will show you why Revelation gets skipped over, deliberately, in some case, and ignorantly in others.

I will be reading Revelation chapter twelve specifically and working my through.

So let’s begin, we will be looking at some of the most skipped over world to come Revelation bible verses. I will present the scripture verse first and then an explanation so that you understand what is being said:

Revelation 12:1

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

Here we see a metaphor of a woman who represents the Holy Spirit and the whole of this world.

The crown of twelve stars represents the twelve tribes of Israel, who are one of the main focal points of the Most High’s plan…

Israel are the people the Most High chose to received the spiritual blessings and which are the scriptures, and it was their duty to obey them and bring them to the world.

Contrary to popular belief they still exist and are very important to all the nations of the world in gaining salvation.

Revelation 12:2

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

This woman i.e. the Holy spirit gave birth to a child who is the Messiah which we see in verse five as we read on.

Revelation 12:3-5

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Now we see the birth of the Messiah, who will rule all nations in the Kingdom of the Most High. We also see the Arrival of a red dragon.

This dragon has seven heads and ten crowns, which represents the dragons complete control over all the ruling nations we see today. If you haven’t guessed the red dragon is Satan.

The book of Enoch gives us the name of the fallen angel that was responsible for rebelling against the Most High’s Angel in heaven and who eventually came to the earth.

The third part of the stars represents the other fallen Angel’s that came to the earth in rebellion too.

We see this mention in Genesis in the beginning. They are called the “Sons of god” and they had sexual relations with the women:

Genesis 6:1-2

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The scripture above goes on to say that the Most High would flood the world in 120 years. This flooding was to cleanse the world of all the wickedness the fallen angels taught men.

Noah was given the task of preaching 120 years (Jasher 6:20) to the people before the flood came. He was also given instruction on the animals and people to take on to the ark that was built. Popularly called Noah’s Ark.

Revelation 12:6-9

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1260).
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Here we see that Satan didn’t just rebel in heaven, but the fallen Angel’s also fought with the Most High’s angel, Michael.

Of course the Most High’s Angel’s defeated Satan in heaven. We also see Satan being called that old serpent, which relates to his manipulation of Eve in the Garden of Eden, convincing her to eat fruit from the tree of life.

The beginning of sin, disobedience and rebellion against the Most High…

Revelation 12:10-11

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Here we see that in the end the Messiah’s sacrifice and our belief in the Messiah’s sacrifice and testimony (John 14:15) (i.e. the keeping of the commandments given to us by the Most High), which tells us to keep his Fathers commandments is what will overcome Satan.

We should remember that our belief in the Messiah and the Most High can even lead to our death. But we know that we will rise again as the Messiah did.

Matthew 22:30

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Above is what the Messiah says about the resurrection of those that believe.

Revelation 12:12-16

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

We are warned about Satan who is on earth doing all he can to persecute the believers, those that believe in the Messiah and the Most High.

Again we see that the metaphoric woman is given help by the Most High to be protected from Satan, even against the floods (wars) Satan brings. These wars have manifested themselves in many forms, i.e. pestilences, wars and famine.

This protection against Satan in this instance was for three and a half years that the Messiah was pursued by Satan on earth.

This flood is also ongoing against Israel who believe and believers of scripture….

Revelation 12:17

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Satan is also doing everything in his power to persecute believers, especiallly Israel who are the remnant of the seed mentioned.

Biblical Word’s List Helper

Satan

Satan means adversary. There is more than one fallen angel that taught men secrets that were supposed to remain in heaven.

Devil

A Devil is man’s opposition, a devil can be any evil person or evil spirit.

Horns

Horns represent the different kingdoms that ruled.

Revelation 12 Summary

So let’s summarise all of that here:

First we have the children of Israel, who are the Most High’s remnant.

Check out who the real remnant of Israel are here

The Messiah who virgin Mary gave birth to, came to fulfill the covenant given to Israel. This covenant (testament) is the moral laws which were at first bound with animal blood by Moses, apart of which required on going animal sacrifices for sins that were committed.

The Messiah’s blood is the renewed covenant and last eternal sacrifice for the sins of his remnant Israel (Daniel 9:27) and all the other nations that believer (John 3:16).

Now enters Satan…

Satan had a battle with the Angel Michael the Most High’s Angel and lost that battle. This resulted in him being sent down to earth, where Satan has taught men many of the things we see in the world.

Satan is represented as the red dragon who is at the helm of all the world powers we’ve seen and see in the earth today…

Here’s a look at the world kingdom’s prophesied and seen in the scriptures up until the present time…

Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Medes, Persians, Greeks, Roman’s (Roman Catholic Church), United Nations and the Western world leaders today…

All of these kingdoms have been guided by Satan to fulfill the prophecy that the Most High has set out.

We are also told that Satan knows his time is short…

This is why in this short time he has the chance of persecuting (to the death in some cases) and testing believers, until such time that the Most High destroys him completed.

Satan’s main object is to kill, steal and destroy, like the Messiah said:

John 10:10

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The more people die without the testimony of the Most High the better it is for Satan because he wants people to enter hell like himself.

Conclusion

The first thing to understand is that thees world to come Revelation bible verses here don’t negate the fact that the Most High wants all of his creation to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Even though all his creation (mankind) don’t seem to want to:

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

There are no excuses for us, some may say if life is predetermined why try, and this sounds good on the surface…

But the thing is, the Most High knows what will happen to us, but the fact we do not, means that we have the power to choose the right path.

All of this may sound far-fetched to those that are not true Believers, but those with understanding will understand that evil spirits possess men.

The fallen angels also influence men. Even though Satan (fallen angels) have been bound physically they have not been bound spiritually which is how they communicate with men on Earth.

Most of these men influenced spiritually are the world leaders, entertainers and other well known personalities that we see today, they can also be in businesses, commerce, countries and institutions.

It’s important that we understand this life that we live today is a test, there will be another Kingdom which will come on Earth.

Revelation 11:15

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

This is what the Messiah came to show us through his Resurrection, which showed dominion over death.

Knowing this gives us an understanding that there is nothing to fear, not even death, hopefully these bible scriptures about the world have shed light on the will of the Most High for our lives.

Shalom! And share this with someone that needs it.
